Penn State alum opens fresh pasta joint

Tucked away in an alley off the Fraser Street Parking Garage is a little bit of Italy in the making.

Fasta and Ravioli Co., 129 S. Fraser St., held its grand opening Wednesday as patrons steadily flowed in and out of the small shop, sampling various types of freshly made pasta here.

Choose from a variety of fresh pastas, including: egg, spinach, roasted red pepper, whole wheat, saffron, and beet. All pastas are cut to order on-site with your choice of fettuccini, angel hair, or pappardelle pastas. Also, Fasta carries a selection of bronze extruded pre-packaged pastas including: penne, angel hair, fettuccini, pappardelle, linguette, and fusilli. Homemade sauces, pesto, and specialty butters are available to complete your easy, fast and fresh pasta meal.

Fresh frozen raviolis are available for quick cooking too!
